I own a buckskin 13.3 hand Arabian Quarter pony cross called Tango. Tango is 4 years old and I love him to death! He has a harsh story of his own but when my dad bought him for me on September 10, 2009, A whole new story started for him and me. He is thin but gains weight and we work on correct commands when Im riding him. I will now tell you our story.
I went over to my friends to go ride and have fun with them. My best friend brought out a stunning, but thin, little buckskin pony. She saddled him up while her sister and me tacked up the other 2 horses. We went and had fun and then Amber, Kristens sister fell off her horse. Kristen stopped Tango and jumped off to get amber and I had no choice but to go get Tango and Ambers mare. I finially caught Tango as my friends came back. My friends sister got on the pony I was riding and I got on Tango and we went to catch the mare. Tango and I started our story that minute I got on.
The next day, I rode Tango instead. My friends mom said he was for sale! Oh my gosh, I want him but theres no way I can get him. I thought. While we were riding in the field, my dad came down and we were talking. So hes for sale, do you want him? He told me. Yeah I really want him dad. I said. We had a conversation about buying him. The day after that, dad said we could buy him. I was so excited!
On September 10, 2009, my friends mom, brought him over. I had been bouncing off the walls getting ready for him an hour before. I put his halter I had for him on and walked to the house. Of course, all the other horses were going Whos that?, Whos the gold kid Hannahs walking?, Hes so small
etc. We put him in his

rivate pasture and he walked around to say Hi to everyone. I brushed him and played with him. I was so excited, Tango was mine!
Over the next few days, Tango got brushed and got buckets full of stuff for him, and his rich alfalfa hay and his mild grass hay. He loved it! I bought him a forest green halter of his own with a matching lead. When my friend came over again, I put his bridle on and she got the camera and I got on him bareback. We walked and trotted around and Kristen got LOTS of pictures! It was so fun too!
Tango has a u-neck and was trained at a very young age [2] and wasnt trained a proper way. He puts his head up high and puts his back up, like a hump, to keep his back from hurting and it created a u-neck. But with my proper training, he no long uses a hump back and his u-neck is going away.
I ride Tango almost everyday and we have loads of fun. I ride English and in 2010 we will start showing. Watch out world- Here we come!
